Steven R. Apel

Steve concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance coverage analysis and commercial litigation.  He has represented insurers in state and federal courts throughout the United States.  He has significant experience investigating claims and evaluating coverage and liability, and has counseled clients on a wide array of coverage issues including trigger and scope of coverage, and the meaning and intent of contract terms and exclusions.

Steve's litigation experience includes declaratory judgment actions, bad faith lawsuits, actions for rescission and reformation of insurance policies, various complex commercial disputes, and appeals.  Specific areas in which he has worked  include CGL coverage, first party property coverage, construction defect, products liability, toxic tort, and environmental claims.
